Nonito Donaire is one of my favorite Boxer and He is set to fight in July, unfortunately its not going to be against Vic "the Talking Bullshit"  Darchinyan. Nonito  have been having problem landing a fight against bigger names. nevertheless He is always ready to fight anyone and his assignment on July 10 is Hernan “Tyson” Marquez.



Hernan Marquez a 21 year old fighter from Mexico lost his last fight to a Filipino Boxer name Richie Mepranum last March of 2010. Lost his last fight?!

I do not know why He is agreeing to fight this guy but his last to fights are against boxers who just recently lost fight against a Filipino. I feel bad for Nonito because He is not fighting the best out there, It is hurting his legacy. Most of the Filipino have not heard of Hernan and certainly since this is the same guy who lost to Mepranum last March, people will automatically think that this is already in the bag for Nonito. He need fight someone with more credibility, someone that can present problem to him perhaps someone bigger.

If I remember it correctly He once said that He would like to follow Manny Pacquiao's foot steps and that He has the same blue print, well the step is to fight bigger names and more dangerous fighter even if it met moving up in weight or making some changes with his management because frankly you deserve a better fight than this.

Nonito's skill is of different level and He needs to fight someone who will challenge it.

The card, at the ProBox TV Events Center in Plant City, Florida, is led by two featherweights attempting to climb the rankings Angelo Leo (23-1, 11 KOs), who trains out of Las Vegas, Nevada, made weight at 125.8 lbs. His opponent, Eduardo Baez (23-5-2, 9 KOs), came in slightly lighter at 125.4 lbs. They will contest a 10-round main event. Leo is a former WBO super-bantamweight champion.
