Knicks and Magic top Carmelo Anthony's list

Carmelo AnthonyCarmelo Anthony(notes) seems destined now to leave the Denver Nuggets when he becomes a free agent next summer. And the Nuggets may try to send him packing earlier than that via trade, according to CBSSports.com.





The site reports that the Orlando Magic and the New York Knicks top Anthony's list of teams he'd like to join. When Anthony was in New York last week for Nike's World Basketball Festival, the Nuggets front office was told to start looking for trades involving Anthony, according to the site. The star forward still has a three-year, $65 million extension offer sitting on the table from Denver.

Magic President of Basketball Operations Otis Smith told the Orlando Sentinel that he's had no trade talks about Anthony with the Nuggets.
