MIAMI – The Miami Heat, featuring new signings LeBron James and Chris Bosh, will host Russia's CSKA Moscow in a pre-season game on October 12, the NBA team said Thursday.

The new-look Heat, also boosted by the re-signing of six-times All-Star guard Dwyane Wade, begin their pre-season campaign at home against the Detroit Pistons on October 5.

CSKA are the second most successful team of all time in the Euroleague, having won the competition six times, including two of the last five tournaments.

"Given the unbelievable local, national and international attention our off-season roster moves have garnered, this pre-season has become the most anticipated we have ever had," Eric Woolworth, president of business operations for the Heat, said in a statement.

"As the opportunity emerged to add a game against a perennial Euroleague power like CSKA Moscow that could give Heat fans here in Miami another early opportunity to see the team come together and at the same time provide the organization with the chance to play on the international stage, we simply had to jump at it," he added.
