Drian Francisco vs Michael Domingo fight, Prime?

by: Pow Salud|Home
Drian Francisco vs Michael Domingo fight, really? yes really. The so called two Filipino prime prospect will be match against each other and what boxing analyst says as a big fight against two Filipino Fighters. some says it was a long time ago since two prime Pinoy fighter fight each other. I say, I don't think so.

For those of you who don't know who Drian Fancisco and Michael Domingo let me give you a quick background.

Lets start with the fancy Drian Fancisco.
Who is Drian Fancisco? Real name Adrian Francisco was born November 10, 1982, his father and brother is also a boxer but was not as successful as him. The so called Golden Fist of Batangas stand at 5'5 and collected some impressive win with out any lost until recently when he lost his WBA International super flyweight title against a Thai boxer in a Unanimous decision. His record now is won 20 (KO 16) + lost 1 (KO 0) + drawn 1 = 22. Drian Francisco's fighting style is very awkward, although he got some power he is always vulnerable to counter punches. Watching his fight  is very entertaining and somehow crowd pleasing but I don't feel  his skill set could bring him near any world title contention or even to beating Michael Domingo. This is an official challenge to Drian to prove me wrong.

Michael Domingo is a veteran boxer, his boxing style is more polished and greater than  Drian Francisco right now, Domingo who is already at 31 years old (same age as Pacquio)  boast a record won 41 (KO 19) + lost 15 (KO 5) + drawn 2 = 58, he also holds some regional and local belts and impressively won 10 bouts out of his last 11.  He will surely outclass and box out Francisco and win this fight. It will be an entertaining bout that could start a trend in Pinoy boxing.

So is it worth it to see them fight?  Who will win? is it the late bloomer Domingo or the awkward style Francisco? Are they really great boxing prospects?

My answers: Yes, Domingo, Yes.

By the way although I feel that Michael Domingo will win this fight, I want Drian to actually come up on top as he is younger and could still improve a lot .Lets just wait on September 3.
