The qualification process for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup came to a close on Sunday 22 September with the conclusion of EuroBasket 2013 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. As a result of this, 20 of the 24 national teams that will compete in FIBA’s flagship event next summer (30 August-14 September 2014) are now known, with the remaining four to be determined through the attribution of wild cards b

The draw for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup will take place on February 3, 2014.

1. USA (gold medalist from the previous Olympic Games)
2. Spain (host country)
3. Iran (FIBA Asia Champion)
4. Philippines (FIBA Asia Runner-up) 
5. South Korea (FIBA Asia 3rd-place)
6. Australia (FIBA Oceania Champion)
7. New Zealand (FIBA Oceania Runner-up)
8. Angola (AfroBasket/Africa Champion)
9. Egypt (AfroBasket/Africa Runner-up)
10. Senegal (AfroBasket/Africa 3rd-place)
11. Mexico (FIBA Americas Champion)
12. Puerto Rico (FIBA Americas Runner-up)
13. Argentina (FIBA Americas 3rd-place)
14. Dominican Republic (FIBA Americas 4th-place)
