Ginebra Will Be "Scary"

After the change of head coach from Frankie Lim to  the 2 time grandslam coach of the PBA tim cone, PBA fans especially ginebra fans have their own take on what’s gonna happen in the next coming days and the upcoming season. Most of them are still waiting for any more changes that will take place under Cone’s Leadership. Will there be any trades? Yes there will be, but let’s set that aside and look at the current Ginebra Lineup and one of those is Greg Slaughter , though he suffered from an injury and wasn’t able to play he still have this angst and skills which made him one of the top players in the league, many are saying that Tim wanted Greg in his team when he was still with the star hotshots if this is true then he will be given more playing time and will be molded as a strong and talented big man like what Tim did to Joe Devance and Pingris which was their key in their grandslam title in the PBA and one thing is for sure, Greg will be able to perform to its full potential as he play under his new coach.

LA Tenorio, also a product of Tim Cone’s camp will now be spared from all trade rumors given the fact that he was with the said coach for a long time and he knows Cone’s system. This duo which made the ginebra fans cry when both of them are still together on the side of Alaska. When I said he will be “spared”, yes , He will be saved from all trades unless they needed a fresh talent from another team to fit into a diverse triangle offense as Tim knows LA’s capabilities and skills, coach Tim Cone needs someone who’s already familiar with his game structure which will help the squad to absorb Cone’s system. Ginebra’s new coach know what the team is lacking and what should be improved, but like what the SMC big boss said, this success will not take place overnight, it will take more time for Ginebra to get used to the new system and asked for the Fans to lower their expectations as he looks to see Cone with ginebra for more than two years in developing the squad into a formidable team like what Tim Cone did to Alaska Aces and the Star Hotshots (Sanmig Coffee Mixers). This roller coaster ride is yet to end with 3 months off season break, things are still possible to happen, trades are expected, rumors are everywhere, but one thing is for sure, Ginebra will be scary with a grand slam coach and a talent packed roster, it will be a big turn around and might end the team’s title drought.
