Temple (8-1, 5-0), ranked 21st this week in the Associated Press Top 25 College Football poll, battles South Florida in an American Athletic Conference game this Saturday at South Florida.
A win locks up the East Division of the AAC for them and a berth in the first AAC championship game on December 5th. It would also give them their first 6-0 road record for a season in school history.
"I always talk about things like (clinching the East Division of the AAC), just because I know (the players) are hearing it," Temple head coach Matt Ruhle told the Associated Press this week.
The Owls are a surprise this year as they were just 8-16 in coach Ruhle's first two seasons in 2013 and 2014.
The Owls defeated SMU 60-40 in Dallas last Friday night in a nationally televised game.
South Florida is 5-4 so far this year and is 3-2 in conference. It is also in the AAC's East Division. South Florida comes into the game on a three-game winning streak.
