Ahmed Mujtaba Makes it Big
Born in the hilly region of Islamabad, Pakistan Ahmed Mujtaba, more often known as 'Wolverine' was introduced to MMA by a friend, who brought him to the premier Mixed Martial Arts gym in Pakistan for a trial class. Falling in love with the sport instantly, Ahmed worked hard and made his professional Mixed Martial Arts debut only 6 months after learning the sport.
Ever since, he's never looked back. Amassing a record of 4 wins and no losses Ahmed got the call up from the UGB MMA match-maker, Faizan Fayaz to compete for a Featherweight title against Rodian Menchavez of the Philippines.
Rodian is also undefeated in professional Mixed Martial Arts with an unbeaten record of 3 wins. Rodian has been awarded the opportunity to compete against Ahmed Mujtaba for the inaugural Featherweight Championship belt.
The match-maker, Faizan Fayaz stated, 'Mujtaba has great grappling credentials and is the national submission grappling champion. Whereas Rodian Menchavez is a good striker. A classic striker vs grappler match is coming your way!'.
Come down to the Makati Coliseum on 22 January 2016 to watch this historic event with fighters from Pakistan, USA, Tajikistan, Sweden and the Philippines.
