New Alliance of UGB MMA and Balikatan MMA Will Elevate the Sport

When two of our favorite local MMA promotions announced their partnership, it almost as if it's just a formality. Ferdie A. Munsayac a retired US Military and the Founder of UGB and Sir Henry Yap Kobayashi a practitioner and the President of Hybrid Yaw-yan has been helping each other and working together for a long time. This news did not really came to us as a surprise.

People within the community may have had plenty of clue about this impending partnership in the past and it was even reinforced when Henry Kobayashi Balikatan 14 event used the UGB Cage last January.

In a quick interview with Ferdi Munsayac during the Balikatan 14 event  where he also served as one of the judges:

" We like Balikatan 14, Sir Henry and I go along way and it's a pleasure helping him and lending my cage"

The official alliance between the two promotions would only mean bigger and better things for the MMA Community especially for UGB who is planning to create more events  this year.

UGB's  partnership with World Series of Fighting came in at the right time for Ferdie and the group as they are on the verge of fully doing a professional MMA events.

Details of the strategic partnerships are still underwraps but you can be assured that this alliance will shake up the industry. This alliance will defintely also focus on their advocacy to help uplift the level of the fighters inside and outside the cage.
