Albert Pagra suffered 8th round KO to Cesar Juarez; PP37 Fight Results
Previously unbeaten Albert Pagara (26-1,18) suffered his first defeat at the hand of Mexican warrior Cesar Juarez (18-5,14) who also gave Nonito Donaire a war before his fight with Pagara. The young Filipino Albert Pagara landed a left hook that dropped Juarez in dying seconds of first round but the determined Juarez recovered from knockdown and pressured Pagara for most of the rounds. Pagara was exhausted in the middle rounds, In the opening of 8th round Juarez launched four punches combination that sent Pagara to the canvass. Pagara was rushed to the Stanford Medical Center after the shocking 8th round defeat. The CT-Scan came out negative and the the doctor gave the permission for Albert to go home back to the Philippines but advised Aldeguer to closely observe Pagara in the next two weeks and have him rest the next six months.
In the co main event Albert's older brother Jason Pagara scored a round KO over Mexican Abraham Alvarez to retained his WBO #1 ranking.
