Carmine Tommasone who has unblemished record in pro 15 wins and 4 stoppages and also a world rated boxer WBA # 11 featherweight suffered a defeat in Olympics against fellow pro and ex world champion Ruenroeng of Thailand. Amnat Ruenroeng will face fellow Olympic qualifier Mexico's Lidolfo Delgado in finals.

Former world title challenger Hassan N'dam N'jikam who is also a pro boxer enters the final after beating Denys Solonenko 3-0 in mens light heavyweight (81kg). Cameroon's Hassam N'dam N'jikam will face Colombian light heavyweight Juan Carlos Carrillo beat Poland’s Mateusz Jerzy.
