Amnat Ruenrong Qualify for Rio Olympics despite of TKO loss in finals
In Rio qualifiers former IBF world champion Thailand's Amnat Ruenroeng was stopped in 2nd round by his 21-year old opponent Lindolfo Delgado of Mexico on the final day of the APB/WSB lightweight (60kg) Olympic qualification tournament in Vargas, Venezuela. Amnat Ruenroeng injured his left shoulder after the 1st round and decided not to come out from his corner. Despite of his defeat against much bigger fighter Ruenroeng settles for silver and will still advance in Rio Olmpics.
In light heavyweight finals former WBO interim middleweight champion Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam of Cameroon and currently world rated boxer in pro, lost a one sided decision to Colombian Juan Carlos Carrillo, Hassan N'dam N'jikam will also advance in 2016 Rio Olympics.
