Dwight Howard heads to Atlanta after him and Hawks agreed on a three-year, 70.5 million deal.
The Hawks are desperately in need of a center with Al Horford being an unrestricted free agent and reportedly will sign elsewhere. The signing of Howard to Hawks made an insurance of Horford's departure.
Howard has averaged 13.7 points, 11 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game last season with the Houston Rockets. His 13.7 points averaged was his lowest since his rookie season.
Howard made it clear at the end of the end of 2015-2016 season that he will not return as a Rocket next season. He had a conflict with the Rockets players for not giving and feeding the ball to him inside.
The 1st overall pick of the 2004 NBA draft proved that he has still left on his tank after a 36 points and 26 rebounds performance in an overtime loss against the Clippers last year. Howard will try to revive his career and perform like an MVP candidate once again with his new team next season.
