Through the signings of Joakim Noah and Courtney Lee, and their trade for Derrick Rose, New York Knicks Power Forward/Center Kristaps Porzingis was very excited to play next season because of big changes on the Knicks Roster. The 20 years old Latvian expressed how satisfied he was in an interview with ESPN.
“I’m young, but we don’t have 10 years to win a championship. We got to win soon. So that’s my mindset as well.” said Porzingis.
Kristaps Porzingis also excited to team up with Derrick Rose who was traded to New york Knicks On June 22, 2016 along with Justin Holiday and a 2017 second-round draft pick, to the New York Knicks in exchange for José Calderón, Jerian Grant and Robin Lopez.
“I think we played a little too static” Porzingis said. “And that’s why it’s great we have a guy like D-Rose who has the ability to push the ball and we got to keep up with him. We have to run the floor. It’s going to be a lot of easy buckets for me if I run the fast break and he’s pushing the ball. He can throw an alley-oop to me so I’m really excited about the idea of playing quicker and faster.” He added.
