Marlon Tapales gets off the canvass to claim WBO world title!

Marlon Tapales wins the WBO bantamweight title in Ayutthaya, Thailand with a dramatic come from behind Knock out in round 11 against the defending champ Pungluang Sor Singyu of Thailand. Tapales was down twice and almost out in the 5th from bodyshots but he came back and dropped Pungluang in the 6th round. Tapales exposed the Thai in the second half of the fight landing hard bodyshot and combinations Sor Singyu was hurt in every last seconds of the round from 6-10. In the beginning of the 11th round Tapales dropped a fading Pungluang for the count with a left hook. Sor Singyu suffered broken jaw and was rushed to the hospital after the fight

Marlon Tapales is now the 4th world champion from the Philippines with Nonito Donaire, Donnie Nietes and Johnriel Casimero. 

In the co main event Top rated flyweight Prasitsak Papoem aka Kwanpichit 13 Rien Express of Thailand easily dispatched Indonesian trialhorse Jack Amisa via TKO5.
