Another Japanese- Filipino rivalry between Japanese-American Ricky Naito (15-1,5) and Filipino Argie Toquero (9-5-2,7).
The fight was seemed a hard fight for two fighters. Toquero came to Japan to fight and not to add another W on Naito's record. Toquero landed powerful hooks when the two fighters engage, Naito dodges some hooks but the power and wildness of Toquero is still a problem to Naito.
Toquero was agressive and wild that resulted a headclashes that opened cut to Toquero.
The fight was exciting and it looks that Toquero can managed to upset the crownd favorite, unfortunately due to Toquero's wildness the fight was stopped in 6th round due to
some big cuts caused by head clashes. Naito was lucky to escape with a lucky Techinical Majority decision victory. The scores were 57-77, 58-57 twice.
In undercard another Filipino Rey Las Pinas losses Junpei Toriami via Split Decision.
