Spurs Add Veteran Front Court Depth, Sign David Lee to Two-Year Contract
Weeks after the retirement announcement of Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs found another gem in the free agency.
According to multiple reports, the Spurs have signed David Lee to a two-year, $3.2 million deal.
Lee gives the Spurs another option off the bench and will be Lamarcus Aldridge's reliever. The 30th overall pick of the 2005 NBA Draft averages an efficient 7.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists in just 16.5 minutes per game last season with the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks.
The 6'9 power forward has career season averages of 14.2 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
The Spurs added two versatile big man this off season with the signings of Pau Gasol and David Lee, an athletic and defensive center in Dewayne Dedmon and a rookie big man in Livio Jean-Charles.
