A Surigaonon by birth (Born in the Municipality of Placer, Province of Surigao del Norte on June 14, 1976), Environmental Lawyer Ingemar Macarine is now based in the Municipality of Tubigon, Province of Bohol, Republic of the Philippines. He operates the franchise area of the Municipalities of Tubigon and Clarin, Province of Bohol, as owner of South Seas Vision Catv System. He is currently the Election Lawyer of the Municipality of Tubigon.

First man to swim from Hikdop Island to Mainland Surigao City (12.8km in 3hours38minutes) February 2014.
First Filipino to swim from Alcatraz Island Penitentiary to San Francisco City, California, USA (2.7km in 1hour) April 7, 2014.
First man who attempted to swim from Vizayas to Mindanao by swimmimg from San Ricardo, Southern Leyte to Surigao City, Northern Mindanao. Although the swim was unsuccessful, He made a personal record of swimming 23km in 5 and 1/2 hours. May 2014.
First man to conquer the Babuyan Channel by swimming from Palaui Island to Mainland Sta. Ana, Province of Cagayan (7.2km in 2hours) June 15 2014.
First man to swim from Balicasag Island to Panglao Island, both in the Province of Bohol last October 16, 2014. 13.4km in 6hours 45minutes.
First man to conquer the Hinatuan Passage by swimming from Bucas Grande Island, Socorro, Siargao to Cagdianao, Claver mainland Mindanao. 10.5km in 5hours 8minutes.
Completed a one-way crossing of the Tañon Strait by swimming 6.54KM (in 2hours and 13minutes) from the Municipality of Santander, Cebu to the Municipality of Sibulan, Negros Oriental last February 14, 2015.
Completed a 3.95KM (in 1hour 27minutes) one-way crossing from Pescador Island to Moalboal, Cebu last March 15, 2015 right after finishing the 21km (category) of the Kawasan Marathon in Badian, Cebu.
Completed a 4.7KM (in 1hour 55minutes) one-way crossing of the Olanggo Channel from Olanggo Island to Mactan Island, Cebu last July 2014.
First Filipino from the Philippines to swim the 1KM Lucky Lake Swim in Lake Lane, Orlando, Florida last March 2014.
First man to swim from Santa Fe, Bantayan Island to San Remigio, Mainland Cebu with a distance of 19.99km in 7hours and 45minutes last April 12, 2015. Swim was to promote climate change awareness and tourism in San Remigio.
First man to conquer the Saranggani Bay last May 10, 2015 by swimming 12.95KM from the Municipality of Maasim to the Municipality of Glan, Sarangani Province. Swim was sponsored by the Saranggani Provincial government to promote Sarangani Bay tourism and for clean seas & beaches.
First Filipino to conquer the Chesapeake Bay and 2nd man in history by swimming 8.1KM from Bay Bridge Marina to Sandy Pointe Park Beach, Annapolis, Maryland, USA last June 9, 2015.
First person to cross two-way from Punta Bilar to Basul Island and then back to Punta Bilar, Surigao City by swimming non-stop 9.3KM in 2Hours & 30Minutes.
First person to Complete a 2-way crossing from Treasure Island Resort, Pangangan Island, Calape to Cabilao Island, Loon, Bohol, and then back to Pangangan Island with a total distance of 6.4KM in 2Hours. Swim was in support of the UN Paris Climate Change Summit.
First person to cross from Sumilom Island to Punta Bilar, Surigao City by swimming 10.99KM in 3Hours & 37Minutes last January 17, 2017. Swim was to promote clean seas & Surigao tourism.
First person to conquer the Bohol Sea by swimming from Pamilacan Island to Baclayon, Bohol covering a distance of 15.15KM in 5Hours & 59Minutes. Swim was sponsored by LGU Baclayon and IBP Bohol to promote tourism in Baclayon, Bohol and for clean seas & beaches.
Conquered Subic Bay (first ever crossing) by swimming in tandem with Philippine Triathlon Legend Frank Lacson 10.38KM in 3Hours and 47Minutes from Grande Island, Bataan to Barrio Barreto, Olongapo City, Zambales. Swim was to promote Bike Friendly Philippines & raise funds for victims of cycling accidents. Swim was also a birthday celebration of Macarine's son, Lance.
First person to swim from Barangay Bulak, Dauin, Negros Oriental to Apo Island covering a distance of 14.7KM in 3Hours & 8minutes of rough water swim last April 24, 2016.
First person to conquer the Cebu Strait by swimming nonstop and unassisted 16.8KM from Cabilao Island, Loon, Province of Bohol to Argao, Province of Cebu last June 12, 2016 to promote clean seas and beaches & to celebrate the 118th Philippine Independence Day.
Atty. Macarine follows the Marathon Swimming Federation Rules (such as no floating aids of whatever kind, regular swim suits only, and no physical contact with another human being or with the boats).
Sports reporters from different newspapers and media giants such as GMA 7 and ABSCBN dubbed him as the "Pinoy Aquaman." Presently, He is the only Filipino who is consistently swimming in open waters in areas not yet swam. He is a pioneer in solo channel swimming in the Philippines.
All swims were done to promote his lifetime advocacy for clean seas and beaches.

1. Hero of the Environment 2015 given by the World Widelife Fund Philippines WWF-Philippines.
2. Outstanding Alumni for Sports 2015 given by Surigao Norte National High School.
3. Outstanding Surigaonon for Sports 2014 given by Rotary Club of Surigao City.
4. Outstanding Tubignon for Sports 2016 given by the Municipality of Tubigon, Bohol.
5. Nominated WOWSA Man of the year 2015 (3rd Placer) for three pioneering marathon swims for the environment in 2015.
