Isaac Dogboe outpointed Tabanao to unify titles!

           
                               

Accra's Isaac "Royal Storm" Dogboe pulled off a unanimous decision victory over Filipino Neil John Tabanao to add the WBC Youth & WBO Oriental Featherweight titles to his WBO Africa featherweight title earlier in Accra, Ghana. The scores were 120-109 ,117-113,119-110 all in favor for hometown boxer Isaac Dogboe.

Dogboe used his speed and footwork against the more aggressive Tabanao. In the ninth round Isaac Dogboe landed multiple combinations to the head and body of Tabanao. 

In the 12th and final round Tabanao chased Dogboe and tried to go for the knock out which is the only chance for him to win the fight. Dogboe was down though the referee ruled it as slip.

At the end Dogboe remained his unblemished record (14-0) and unify WBO and WBC minor titles. According to reports the winner of this fight is only few fights away from a world title shot.
