No doubt, San Miguel Beermen is a hard to beat team and probably one of the top contenders not only in this conference but basing also on their previous achievements as a championship caliber team.

What are the edges of Ginebra and San Miguel to each other that may help them get the win? let's  have a break down of these advantages.

1. Outside Shooting - San Miguel Beermen, with Alex Cabagnot, Marcio Lassiter, Arwind Santos and Ronald Tubid together with their Import Elijah Millsap, this team has a very deep roster of outside gunners which makes this team a dangerous one. Looking at their performance on game 4 where Lassiter almost made it perfect from the field with the help of other gunners, Ginebra had a hard time getting back on the game because of the SMB's outside shooting consistency.

Edge goes to San Miguel.

2. Post play production. - San Miguel Beermen will dominate this one and there's no doubt about it with Junmar Fajardo on the floor alongside Yancy De Ocampo, this frontliner will have to be hard to crack and hard to defend. With Ginebra missing Greg Slaughter for this series it will be a challenge for Japeth Aguilar, Dave Marcelo and Joe Devance to defend these two giant frontliners of SMB.

Edge goes to San Miguel.

3. Offensive style. - This part of the game maybe favors the Ginebra squad. Having the most advanced and complex offensive approach which is the hybrid triangle offense, it will be hard for San Miguel to defend Ginebra with the way their sister team rotates the ball too well and being recorded as the top team in the PBA when it comes to assist, Ginebra will have an edge when it comes to finding the right guy which is the result of the good ball rotation that comes with this kind of offense.

Edge goes to Ginebra.

4. 6th man support - No doubt, this one goes to Ginebra, having the largest fan base in the whole PBA will make it hard for SMB to overcome. Once this huge crowd gets involved in the game, it gives the whole Ginebra camp the confidence that results to a good momentum in maybe catching up with a huge deficit or maybe consistently protecting a lead.

In which ever way we weigh things, nonetheless this game will be expected to be a close one. They will battle for their survival in this conference as both teams are eyeing for another opportunity to get title. San Miguel will try to continue their Championship rampage while Ginebra will fight for their long time mission which is to grab a championship trophy after almost a decade.
