After a successful coaching era with the Star Hotshots before taking over the coaching job for Barangay Ginebra San Miguel that eventually led him to another title, Tim Cone still finds it hard to face his former team Star.

"6 years after coaching Alaska, I still find it hard to face them in a game," stressing the chemistry he built with the players and the core he developed to get titles with Alaska.

"From a personal standpoint, it's still hard to face Star over San Miguel or TNT and so on"

"But from a coaching standpoint, it's hard to face San Miguel, Junmar is still hard to match every coach still find ways on how to stop him"

Ginebra will be facing San Miguel on January 8 after their latest Christmas Manila Clasico win.

"We somehow knocked them out last conference in the best of five series, so they will come out and have revenge." talking about their next game against San Miguel Beermen next year.
