Russell Westbrook ties Michael Jordan for seven straight triple-doubles


Russell Westbrook tied Michael Jordan for seven consecutive triple-doubles Friday night against the Houston Rockets. Michael Jordan was the last one to have the longest streak in 1989. Jordan's streak came during a run of 10 triple-doubles in 11 games.
Westbrook got his 10th rebound with 7:46 left in the fourth quarter. He already had 16 points and 10 assists. Westbrook's triple-double in Oklahoma City Thunder game against the Houston Rockets is his 12th triple double of the season and the 49th of his young NBA career. He leads all the active players including Lebron James in the category and overall.
The Thunder won the first six games during his streak but fell short to the Houston Rockets 102-99 Friday night.
