Star sends Jake Pascual to Alaska in exchange for Rome Dela Rosa

After a few player shuffles in the Star roster, another move has been reported sending Jake Pascual to Alaska for Rome Dela Rosa.

Alaska Aces has not made a lot of changes in their line up in the off-season aside from the acquisition of their rookies in the recently held draft. But the absence of Sonny Thoss and Noy Baclao due to knee injuries has forced them to turn the tables around by acquiring a promising 6 foot 3 big man who has not seen a lot of action with Star after an excellent rookie debut with Barako.

The deal has yet to be confirmed but a source said that both parties have already agreed about the exchange which was initiated by the Star Management.


This addition in both of the teams will fill in a huge gap in their line up as they try to figure out a way to crack another finals berth in this new season of the PBA.

The card, at the ProBox TV Events Center in Plant City, Florida, is led by two featherweights attempting to climb the rankings Angelo Leo (23-1, 11 KOs), who trains out of Las Vegas, Nevada, made weight at 125.8 lbs. His opponent, Eduardo Baez (23-5-2, 9 KOs), came in slightly lighter at 125.4 lbs. They will contest a 10-round main event. Leo is a former WBO super-bantamweight champion. He is riding a three-fight winning streak; his past two fights were broadcast on ProBox TV. Leo is ranked seventh by the WBA and 13th by the IBF.
