UFC 207 Ends The 2016 With A BANG!

This is the 'comeback' UFC fans watching around the world have been waiting for! Ronda Rousey is back after more than a year of losing her title to Holly Holm at UFC 193. She will start her new Octagon journey and attempt to regain the UFC women's bantamweight crown from Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on Dec. 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

The co-headliner of the event is a UFC men's bantamweight championship bout between current champion Dominick Cruz and undefeated Cody Garbrandt. Before their fight was announced, the pair were already trading insults at one another. Their trash talks which will be erupted into a brawl is unimaginable! The card also includes Dominick Cruz' rival TJ Dillashaw who will face John Lineker.

The rematch between Fabrício Werdum and Cain Velasquez was scheduled to take place on this card but Velasquez was pulled from UFC 207 and ruled medically ineligible to compete by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. This is the second time an injury to Velasquez scrapped the bout. No word on who the UFC will get to fill in.

The prelim fights are going to be just as good as the main card. Former champion Jonny Hendricks returns to face the No. 8-ranked Neil Magny who is always willing to fight the best in the world at anytime. Hendricks having the mindset of retiring if he loses before a fight is not motivational for him. Can he get on track or will Magny end the road for the former UFC champion? Other welterweights, Dong Hyun Kim, Tarec Saffiedine, Alex Garcia, Mike Pyle, Tim Means, Alex Oliveira, Brandon Thatch and Niko Price lined up for UFC 207.

A flyweight bout between Luis Smolka and Ray Borg replaced the Maryna Moroz vs Jessica Andrade fight. On December 7 Moroz was replaced by Invicta FC strawweight champion Angela Hill who was then ruled out of fighting due to USADA rule. Hill is required to spend four months in the USADA drug-testing pool before competing. Hill was in the pool last year before she was released in October 2015. Subsequently, Andrade was removed from the card and will be rescheduled for a future event.

Lastly, Sabah Homasi was expected to fight Brandon Thatch at a welterweight bout. Homasi however pulled out due to injury and was replaced by promotional newcomer Niko Price.
