2016 WBC FIGHT OF THE YEAR

WBC just announced the 2016 Tecate Fight of the Year at the 54th Annual WBC convention in Hollywood, Florida and we are in agreement with their choice.

There are a lot of  great boxing matchups this year like Carlos Cuadras vs Roman Gonzalez and Jorge Linares against Anthony Crolla both recognized by WBC but the epic and nail-biting battle for the WBC World super featherweight title at the StubHub Center between Mexico's Orlando Salido and Francisco Vargas stood out the most.

This fight gives true meaning to toe to toe, a showdown between two Mexican warriors who want to win it by destroying their opponents. Fighters showed gut wrenching durability, stamina and will to survive against adversity.

Nobody won that fight as it was declared a draw but nonetheless both fighters were recognized by the WBC for putting on a show boxing fan would remember for ages.
