Top NBA Players That Have Higher Chances of Being Traded Before the Trade Deadline

We already had one blockbuster trade that shocked the basketball world, and the trade deadline is still two days away. DeMarcus Cousins have already been traded to the New Orleans Pelicans to pair up with Anthony Davis as they chase a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Here are the list of the top guys who has higher chances to be traded before Friday's deadline:

  • Deron Williams (PG), Dallas Mavericks
The Utah Jazz have expressed some interest in re-acquiring their former All-Star guard out of West Virginia. Williams played six seasons for the Jazz and appeared two-times in an All-Star game. He averages 17.3 points, 9.1 assists and 3.0 blocks per game on his tenure on Utah.


  • Wilson Chandler (SF), Denver Nuggets
A number of Western Conference teams are said to be linked on a potential deal to add the Denver Nuggets' forward, Wilson Chandler. One team to keep on an eye on is the Houston Rockets, according to ESPN's Chris B. Haynes. The Clippers and Thunders have been also reportedly interested on Chandler.

  • Danilo Gallinari (SF), Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets wants a first-rounder swap rights on another pick for Gallinari and Chandler, according to ESPN. It's unclear, but Gallo's agent will likely take calls from several teams in the 2017 free-agent market.

  • Nikola Mirotic (PF), Chicago Bulls
With a disappointing 22-23 start this season, it appears that the Chicago Bulls are currently looking for the best offer to their sharpshooting big man, according to Chicago Sun-Times.

According to Chicago Sun-Times, Rondo and Mirotic is on the Bulls' trading block. The 6 foot 1 passing guard is only averaging 6.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game this season.


  • Derrick Rose (PG), New York Knicks
The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached out to the Knicks recently to discuss about the Rose-Rubio swap, sources say. If ever this trade happens, Rose will play again under his ex-Bulls coach, Tom Thibodeau.

As the Timberwolves' team president and head coach Tom Thibodeau sees rookie, Kris Dunn as the future point guard for the team, the Wolves are currently accepting offers to their Spaniard point guard. The Rose-Rubio swap has a chance to be done before Friday's trade deadline.

The Brooklyn Nets have reportedly been accepting trade calls from any team that is interested on their star center. The Nets reportedly is seeking for at least two first-round picks. Lopez is quietly having an excellent season, and he is averaging 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game this season in 51 appearances.


  • Jahlil Okafor (C), Philadelphia 76ers
When Okafor was drafted on 2015, many people thought that he will have a successful career but in the latest happenings about the former Duke Supertar, it seems his career is quietly going down. The Pelicans are no longer an option for him, Okafor has been reportedly linked to the Blazers, Bulls, Mavs and Celtics, according to sources.

  • Reggie Jackson (PG), Detroit Pistons
According to league sources, the Pistons have discussed a trade with the Orlando Magic that would send Reggie Jackson to the Magic for a package headlined by Jeff Green and D.J. Augustin. The ESPN reported last month that the Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves had discussed a trade featured by Reggie Jackson and Ricky Rubio. The New Orleans Pelicans has also linked to Jackson.

  • Andre Drummond (C), Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons are still exploring a potential trade for their bruising big man. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Pistons will not discourage trade inquiries for Drummond. He's only 23 years old and currently averaging a double-double with 14.6 points and 13.8 rebounds per game.

According to ESPN, Shumpert is reportedly available, and the Cavaliers are currently searching for the best offer to their 26-year old sharpshooter. He is averaging 7.6 points per game on .425 overall shooting percentage and .403 percent from downtown this season.

  • Carmelo Anthony (SF), New York Knicks
There have been plenty of talks between the Knicks and opposing teams about trading Melo, but it seems he will not waive his no-trade clause, meaning he'll stay to New York for the rest of this season. A month ago, the Clippers, Celtics and Cavs has been linked to Melo, according to multiple sources.


  • Paul George (SF), Indiana Pacers
George says he wants to bring Indiana a title, but stopped short of saying he would sign an extension this summer. The Celtics showed a lot of interest on Pacers' scoring forward, and according to multiple sources, the Celtics have proposed a trade to the Pacers that includes Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley/Marcus Smart and a draft pick from Brooklyn.


  • Jimmy Butler (SG/SF), Chicago Bulls
Two separate stories said that the Chicago Bulls will hold onto their All-Star at least through the end of the season. The Boston Celtics are willing to give up one of their Brooklyn draft picks for Butler with a bunch of veterans. Butler is currently having his best season so far by averaging a career high in points with 24.5, rebounds with 5.0 and assists with 6.3 per game in 51 games played.
