UFC Fight Night 106: Belfort vs.Gastelum at Fortaleza Final Results

Brazilian icon Mauricio “Shogun” Rua took plenty of hard shots in Saturday’s UFC Fight Night co-main event at the Olympic Training Center in Fortaleza, Brazil, but the former light heavyweight champion gave opponent Gian Villante even more in return, allowing him to score a third-round TKO of the Long Island native and extend his current winning streak to three.

Beneil Dariush looked to be on his way to an upset win in his bout against fellow lightweight contender Edson Barboza, but the Brazilian bomber turned everything around with one shot, using a jumping knee to knock Dariush out in round two.

Albuquerque’s Ray Borg made a major statement in his bout against Jussier Formiga, winning a razor-thin three-round unanimous decision over the highly-ranked flyweight contender.

Alex Oliveira and Tim Means settled their score in welterweight action, Oliveira submitting Means in the second round of their rematch.

An illegal knee by Means rendered their first bout in December a no contest.

Kelvin Gastelum, Edson Barboza, Joshua Burkman and Paulo Borrachinha all earned the Performance of the Night bonus.
