Porter Stops Berto in 9th; Charlo put Hatley to Sleep



Shawn "Showtime" Porter stops two time world champ Andre Berto to become WBC's mandatory challenger to unified WBC-WBA World Welterweight champion Keith "One Time" Thurman in the main event of SHOWTIME BOXING (Premier Boxing Champions) at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Former IBF Welterweight champ Porter (27-2-1,17KOs)  drops Berto (31-5,24) once in  second round and twice in 9th before the referee waved off the fight at 1:31 of ninth round.

In co main event Jermell  Charlo (29-0,14) remains unbeaten and the WBC World Jr Middleweight champion after defeating Charles Hatley (26-2-2,18) by the way of 6th round KO. Jermell floored Hatley  by connecting left and right combination in the third round. Charlo continued to control the fight in fourth and fifth before landing a picture perfect right to sent Hatley in the canvass in 6th round.
