Soriano, Diale, Taniguchi Pick Up Wins!

United Promotions' boxers Ivan Soriano , Ardin Diale and Ryan James Racaza pick up victories during United Cup 16 at Makati Cinema Square in Makati City

Ivan Soriano (15-1-1) get the victory easily after his opponent Bimbo Nacionales (14-13-1) quit on his corner after the first round. Supposedly a good match up between former OPBF champion Ardin Diale (32-11-4) and Wiljan Ugbaniel (13-4-1) end up in second round TKO win for Diale after Ugbaniel suffered a left should injury. Another second round TKO win was awarded to Japanese Masataka Tanaguchi (6-1) after Benjie Bartolome (2-9-2) quit on his stool before the start of second round.

The card, at the ProBox TV Events Center in Plant City, Florida, is led by two featherweights attempting to climb the rankings Angelo Leo (23-1, 11 KOs), who trains out of Las Vegas, Nevada, made weight at 125.8 lbs. His opponent, Eduardo Baez (23-5-2, 9 KOs), came in slightly lighter at 125.4 lbs. They will contest a 10-round main event. Leo is a former WBO super-bantamweight champion. He is riding a three-fight winning streak; his past two fights were broadcast on ProBox TV. Leo is ranked seventh by the WBA and 13th by the IBF.
