Mark your calendars! Friday, November 28, the Metro City Nightclub in Australia will once again light up as Dragonfire Promotions closes out the year with Thunderdome 52 — and headlining the excitement is the return of Ireland’s undefeated rising star Owen “The Bomber” Corrigan (3-0) in a rematch against China’s top light heavyweight contender Liam Wang.
Corrigan, the fighting pride of Ireland, is confident and ready after jumping straight back into training following his last bout.
“2025 has been a successful year — three fights in a calendar year, four in 12 months counting last November. Each opponent brought something different, but Laing was definitely the toughest. This rematch will show how much I’ve improved and adapted to the pro level,” Corrigan shared.
Reflecting on the first fight, Cor
rigan didn’t hold back his motivation:
“I’ve wanted this rematch since we fought. I wasn’t at my best that night, but still showed heart and skill to pull through. This time, you’ll see the real me — I’m sharper, stronger, and more focused. I’m not rematching him for fun — bring your best!”
Known for his passionate fanbase, Corrigan also gave a shoutout to his supporters:
“The crowd has been unreal! I’m so grateful to everyone coming out. Get down early, grab a drink, and let’s lift the roof off the place!”
Promoter Tony Tolj couldn’t be more excited for the rematch:
“Owen is a great talent still early in his career. Their first fight was a war, and Owen showed his class winning every round. He’s been working hard, and fans will see the new and improved ‘Bomber.’ Ireland vs China in Australia — this has fireworks written all over it!”
