MANILA, Philippines — NBA legends Jason Kidd and Tony Parker brought their championship pedigree to Manila as they headlined the inaugural NBA House Celebrity Showcase, presented by Prime Video, at SPACE at One Ayala in Makati City.
The exhibition game was part of NBA House Philippines, a two-day basketball and fan experience held on August 29 and 30, bringing together NBA legends, Filipino celebrities, athletes, and basketball fans.
Kidd and Parker, both NBA champions and members of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, faced off as team captains in a special 5-on-5 matchup featuring several Filipino celebrities and personalities.
Among those who took part were SB19, Khalil Ramos, Margaux Nonato, RK Bagatsing, Ralph de Leon, and Trina Guytingco.
Despite its celebrity-game format, the matchup featured plenty of competitive energy as Team Jason Kidd and Team Tony Parker battled through four quarters.
In the end, Team Parker came away with a 97-76 victory over Team Kidd.
More than just an exhibition game, the event gave Filipino fans the opportunity to get up close with some of basketball's biggest names while experiencing NBA-themed activities, challenges, memorabilia displays, merchandise, and fan engagement zones.
NBA House Philippines also featured appearances from WNBA legend and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Lauren Jackson, along with meet-and-greet opportunities involving Kidd, Parker, Jackson, and local artists.
For Filipino basketball fans, the event served as a preview of the excitement surrounding the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season, with Prime Video set to bring more NBA action to fans in the Philippines.
The NBA season is just around the corner—and with the league's biggest stars preparing to return to the court, Filipino fans won't have to wait much longer for another dose of NBA basketball.
