John Riel Casimero's camp continues to push for a major world title opportunity, with team handlers reiterating that a mega-fight against undisputed super bantamweight king Naoya Inoue remains their ultimate objective. Casimero is putting in rigorous rounds in the gym to stay ready for an official late-year assignment.

Coming off recent overseas action, the former three-division champion has been maintaining active sparring and training sessions while his management negotiates potential regional and international dates. Next fight could be against Sebastian Hernandez in December.
