Daniel Dubois Knockouts Fabio Warley in rematch

Daniel Dubois has ended Fabio Wardley’s revenge bid in two rounds and retained his WBO heavyweight title. Meanwhile, Brandon Figueroa’s illness has removed Tomoki Kameda’s championship opportunity from this morning’s Las Vegas card.

1. Dubois retains, with Hrgovic interested but no unification signed

Daniel Dubois stopped Fabio Wardley at 2:21 of round two at The O2 in London, with Wardley’s corner throwing in the towel after an early knockdown and continued punishment. The result replaces the questions in our October 16 coverage of Wardley’s camp challenging Dubois’ tactics with a decisive second victory. Unlike their May meeting, Dubois did not need to recover from knockdowns himself. IBF champion Filip Hrgovic joined him in the ring afterward, raising the possibility of a unification rematch. Interest and a faceoff are not a signed fight, however, and mandatory obligations remain relevant to what happens next.

2. Figueroa’s illness cancels Kameda fight, not just title defense

Brandon Figueroa against Tomoki Kameda is off after Figueroa fell ill overnight, Premier Boxing Champions announced, according to FIGHTMAG’s October 17 report. This is the crucial change from yesterday: Figueroa had already lost his WBA featherweight belt on the scales, but Kameda could still have won it in the ring. Now that opportunity cannot happen on this card. Sebastian Fundora’s WBC defense against Ermal Hadribeaj remains the main event, with Armando Resendiz against Koen Mazoudier elevated to the co-feature. Filipino viewers should remove Figueroa against Kameda from their morning watchlist and await an official update on Kameda’s next championship route.

3. Jalolov banks ten rounds while Dubois supplies the finish

Bakhodir Jalolov defeated Solomon Dacres by unanimous decision over ten rounds on the London undercard, with FIGHTMAG listing scores of 99–91, 99–90 and 99–90. That is a completed win, not merely another heavyweight prospect being advertised for a future title shot. On the same night Dubois finished quickly, Jalolov had to complete the distance. The scorecards establish a clear victory, but they do not automatically establish readiness to beat a reigning champion. For fans following Asian boxing beyond the lighter divisions, the useful next signal is the level of opponent Jalolov receives after this result, rather than assuming a title challenge is already booked.
