Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire Jr. on Monday said he has no fear of the ring because he knows he is in shape to tackle any challenger inside it.

Fresh from his Round 2 knockout of Mexican Fernando Montiel, the new World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Organization (WBO) bantamweight champ said he is still setting his sights on being the undisputed champion of his weight class.

"Gusto ko yung maging undisputed champion. Gusto ko ma-accomplish yan. Not a lot of people have accomplished that feat. That's a dream I want to accomplish," he told ANC's "Headstart."

"I want to see how far I can reach with the talent that God has given me. I want to know and be proud of being a multidivisional champion and undisputed."

Donaire earlier said that if he beats Montiel, he will try to unify the bantamweight titles by fighting the winner between International Boxing Association (IBO) and WBC silver belt king Abner Mares of the US and Africa's Joseph Agbeko. He may also go after World Boxing Association’s (WBA) bantamweight Anselmo Moreno of Panama, who has a title defense against Lorenzo Parra of Venezuela.

Donaire has also not ruled out going up in weight and taking on WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez.

Asked what was different with his fight against Montiel, he said: "My confidence was up. Parang wala akong takot pag nasa ring ako kasi alam kong in-shape na in-shape ako."

He also gave credit to his sprint training, which, he said, gave his punches extra speed and strength.

Donaire said he was also able to see Montiel's weakness, which allowed him to land a devastating left hook that floored the Mexican in the 2nd round of their match.

The Filipino Flash said he still has a lot of fights in him as long as he takes care of his body. He said he will return to the Philippines next week.

He also said he does not mind being considered as the number 2 boxer in the world behind 8-division champion and fellow Filipino Manny Pacquiao.

"You're being compared to best fighter in the world of this time and malaking karangalan yun. I embrace that," he said.
