Remembering Allen Iverson and his crossover

Allen Iverson was one of the greatest scorer in the NBA and no one can argue with that , but while Iverson enjoyed the fame and fortune of being a franchise player in Philadelphia, his 14 years professional career was not always on the upside, Allen Iverson was a subject of a lot of scrutiny and criticism and I can be certain that it was not easy for him.

While others may look at him as a player with attitude problem, fans around the world will always love and remember him for his dedication and hard work on the court, he will always be remember as a great basketball player.

Who can forget Allen Iverson when he single handedly carried the Sixers to the NBA Finals in 2001, the same year when he also won the NBA MVP award.  Iverson was a rare breed of basketball player, standing only at 6 feet, Iverson will torch you with his lighting speed and killer crossover, need a proof? do you still remember when he crossed Michael Jordan? if not check the video below.

Now that I have refreshed your memory, and we all agreed that Allen Iverson during his prime can do that all day, he can dribble the ball and penetrate inside or he can pull of a jumper in front of you, ain't no matter who is guarding him, that is why he is called the Answer. check out some of his accomplishments.

NBA Most Valuable Player (2001)
NBA Rookie of the Year (1997)
11× NBA All-Star (2000–2010)
2× NBA All-Star Game MVP (2001, 2005)
4× NBA scoring champion (1999, 2001–2002, 2005)
3× NBA steals leader (2001–2003)

3× All-NBA Second Team (2000, 2002–2003)
All-NBA Third Team (2006)
NBA All-Rookie First Team (1997)

At age 34, I can almost say that he can still play, just look at Kobe Bryant and he is now 35, I am almost certain that he still want to play, however circumstances is not in his favor as NBA teams have ignored him for 2 years and counting, maybe this is why Allen Iverson have allegedly issue a statement that he will be retiring soon.

Retiring or not,  If Allen Iverson still want to play he could always  consider playing overseas and still make good money, he already made a mark in the NBA and his place is secured as one of the top guards in NBA history, there is little to prove for him there and beside there are so much young talents in the NBA right now.

Allen Iverson you will always be remember as a great player, thanks for the memories..
