Manny Pacquiao wants a gold medal in next year olympics

Manny Pacquiao to represent the Philippines and box at the Olympics next year, this is to ensure country's first gold medal? Well actually that will never happen, the fact that he has been a professional boxer for a long time will prohibit him from joining the competion.

Anyway, somehow and someway, Manny Pacquiao would find a way to get Philippines, its first gold medal and he is starting by pledging to give an extra 5 million pesos to whoever can bring home the coveted gold medal.

"Ang pledge ko, pagka next year may nag-gold [sa Olympics], limang milyon kahit anong sport," said Pacquiao in Mei Lin Lozada's report to Spin.ph.

Pacquiao made the announcement while turning over his sports memorabilia to the Philippine Sports Museum.

"Wala pa tayong gold, ano?" said Pacquiao. "Next year pa lang."
