His recent stint with the Gilas Pilipinas gave all of us reasons to love the Beast, Calvin Abueva. His ferocious and fearless attacks to the basket surely fired up basketball fans and the Philippines as a nation during FIBA Asia Championship in China. We certainly loved when he relentlessly played and gave the Philippine team a much-needed energy boost. We cannot deny the fact that he was one of the difference makers on the Gilas 3.0 line up that brought the silver medal home. And this is why we loved Calvin.
And now that the PBA season is coming closer, and he will now again be playing for Alaska Aces which may not be your team. You will now be left reminded again with the torment he has done to your favorite team, his outrageous behaviors during the game that just left fans exasperated and annoyed and you hated it especially when your team is playing against his because you know that he surely will get away with such antics. This season may not be any different as Calvin Abueva did not show any kind of slackening, in fact he has shown that he is a much-improved player and this is why you will resent him this upcoming PBA season.
Overall, Calvin Abueva will be a player to watch out for as he will surely continue to give the fans the thrill and the drama in the upcoming 2015-2016 PBA Philippine Cup.
