Most casual boxing fans may have yet to see the United Cup X boxing event. In the Philippines, boxing events are mostly dominated by big and international promoters, such as ALA Boxing, Elorde, Top Rank and Golden Boy. But even big promoters like them are having a tough time attracting Filipino fans to watch their events either live or via telecast.
If it's not for Manny Pacquiao, many would not been tuned into boxing at all. But for hardcore fans they believe that there are other great boxers out there. And last December 2, I watched a great fight card and an impressive main event fight between two of the premier boxers under the United Boxing Promotions.
Ardin Diale and Richard Claveras both won their respective fights earning them a new championship belt.
