Former WBO World minimumweight champion Merlito "Tiger" Sabillo (25-2,12KOs) who is fighting under MP Highland gym is determined to get another world title shot.

Sabillo is scheduled to face teenager Japanese Riku Kano (9-1-1,5) tomorrow at Bunka Center, Sanda in Hyogo Japan for the vacant OPBF interim minimumweight title.

The WBO title is vacant after Kosei Tanaka vacated it to move up in weight and chase another World title in light flyweight. Merlito Sabillo is the current WBO no.1 minimumweight contender and there is a big possibility of fighting again for the vacant title against no.2 Katsunari Takayama of Japan.
