BREAKING: Tim Duncan Announces Retirement
Tim Duncan officially called it quits. The 19-year NBA veteran, who is considered the best power forward of all time announces today that he will retire after playing 19 seasons in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs.
Duncan, a five-time NBA champion (1999, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2014) has career season averages of 19 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.2 blocks in 34 minutes per game and averages of 20.6 points, 11.4 rebounds and 3 assists in the postseason.
A two-time NBA MVP (2002, 2003), three-time NBA Finals MVP (1999, 2003, 2005), ten-time all NBA first team (1998-2005, 2007, 2013), three-time all NBA second team (2006, 2008-2009), fifteen-time NBA all star (1998, 2000-2011, 2013, 2015), eight-time NBA all defensive first team (1999-2003, 2005, 2007-2008), seven-time NBA all second team (1998, 2004, 2006, 2009-2010, 2013, 2015) and an NBA rookie of the year (1998).
Tim Duncan along with Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili is part of the trio with the most wins in the regular season (575) and postseason (126).
Two superstar legends were already announce their retirement, the first one is Kobe Bryant who announced that he is retiring in the early part of the season last year.
