Donaire to defend title on Pacquiao-Vargas card

Two Filipino boxing superstar will both be fighting on the same event on November 5th in Las Vegas. Top Rank CEO Bob Arum announced earlier that Nonito Donaire will be seeing in action in the co main event of Manny Pacquiao-Jessie Vargas fight in Las Vegas.

Arum told the ABS-CBN that that Donaire will be taking on unbeaten Mexican-American Jesse Magdaleno, possibly for Donaire’s WBO Super Bantamweight title.

“We are looking to do something really spectacular for all Filipino people.” Arum said.

Magdaleno (23-0,17) is the mandatory challenger for Donaire's WBO Superbantamweight world title. Twenty four-year old Magdaleno last two fights were against two Filipinos where he posted a KO victory against Vergel Nebran on October 17 and Rey Perez on February 2016 both were held in Phoenix Arizona.

33 year-old 5 division world champion and the reigning WBO Superbantamweight world champion "The Filipino Flash" Nonito Donaire (37-3,24KO) sucessfully defended his crown by scoring 6th round TKO win against former Olympian Zsolt Bedak of Hungary on April 23.

The fight will be held at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 5th.
