Margarito beat Ramon Alvarez wants Canelo next!





Ex world champion Mexican Antonio Margarito beat fellow Mexican Ramon Alvarez the older brother of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez by the way of 10 rounds split decision win to capture the WBO Continental super welterweight title earlier at Centro de Convenciones, Rosarita in Baja California. The scores were 
95-94 Alvarez, 97-92 twice for Margarito.

Ramon Alvarez controlled the first two rounds by throwing combinations to the head of Margarito. In the third round Margarito pushing the pace and forcing Alvarez to the ropes and throws combinations but Alvarez is still countering him with some serious blows. Alvarez continuing to counter the agressive Margarito in the fourt, the fight came in action in 5th and 6th rounds both boxers exchanging bombs. Margarito scored a knockdown in 8th round to snatch the round to Alvarez. In the final round Alvarez knows that he is behind on the cards chasing Margarito and aim to land a big punch but Margarito playing it safe throwing jabs.

Ramon's younger brother Canelo was in the ringside to support of his brother. 
In the post fight interview Margarito said he was ready to face Canelo Alvarez next.

"I want the big fights, Cotto, Canelo. I don't want a rematch with Ramon. I am ready for big fights now I am ready to beat Ramon's brother Saul." Margarito said
