PBA Who are the best contenders to Win The Title?

by: Nate Sangcap

With the playoffs rankings almost set, the PBA fans are now waiting for their teams to fight for a spot in the season ending conference finals.
Who are the best contenders?
Below are the teams that has the chance to crack a finals berth

1.TNT Katropa -This squad is probably one of the undisputed teams to hit that spot in the finals in this conference looking at their performance listing 9 wins and only one loss but even though they already secured a seat in the top four in the standings, their consistency will be put on a test as they go against the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel on September 18 in Biñan Laguna.
2. Barangay Ginebra San Miguel - with the help of their reinforcement Justin Brownlee and most of their locals like Japeth Aguilar, Rookie Point Guard Scottie Thompson, Sol Mercado, LA Tenorio and Mark Caguioa, this team is undoubtedly one of the teams that we will be seeing to get a finals berth. Technically, Ginebra lost only two games and both were in overtime which only gave them the losses due to extended minutes and fatigue but somehow made it look like they might have won each of these two games against Alaska and San Miguel Beermen.
One of the most anticipated teams also as they fail to get this chance in the past 8 years, this team is really doing an excellent job in their consistency especially on their defensive style.
3. San Miguel Beermen - This is a championship caliber team, and no one's going to doubt if ever they book a seat in the finals. Coach Leo Austria who strengthened the teams chemistry made it hard for other teams to snatch a win. With Cabagnot, Arwind Santos and the multi titled PBA MVP awardee Junmar Fajardo, this team might repeat history as they landed a spot in the top 4 of the PBA playoffs.
4. Mahindra Enforcers - One of the youngest teams in the PBA who surprised everyone with their win loss record starting the first half of their conference undefeated but eventually falling behind at the later part of this elimination round. James White, their reinforcement who carried them through this very successful campaign will be expected to again lift the enforcers to try and get a championship for the first time in their franchise history.
I obviously stated the top 4 teams above but here are 2 more teams that might make it to the finals showdown.
MERALCO BOLTS - this team is one of the toughest contenders in the league and with their locals being so productive in every category, the bolts might find their way into a finals showdown. With Alapag leading the way for Meralco and locals like, Dillinger and Hodge, one way or the other depending on their next performances they will be battling in the championship round.
Rain or Shine - If! And only if this franchise makes it into the playoff rounds as they currently under the waiting line, they might be seeing action again in the finals. This team is one of the toughest contenders in the league with their outstanding frontline line up and effective shooters it will just be a matter of tine for this squad to show their facea again in the champ stage.
