Donaire came into the ring tonight aggressive and was on the offensive most of the time however Jessie Magdaleno was able to figure out Donaire's attacks. He was focused and was able to outwork the Filipino Flash.

Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire looked like a step slower tonight as most of his punches were not catching his opponent like they used to. Magdaleno was just efficient and effective with his counter attacks and was visibly frustrating Nonito. Both fighters received vicious punches from each other and their faces showed the evidence.

At the end 12 rounds the judges scored the fight 116-112, 116-112, and 118-110 a unanimous decision for the new WBO super bantamweight champion, Jessie Magdaleno.

Magdaleno stays unbeaten while Nonito suffered the fourth loss of his career.
