UST cager Carlo Miguel “Heartthrob Tower” Dava roars for Tigers

Toughness, perseverance and determination are traits that drive athletes to overcome obstacles in life. On the court as in life, this young athlete epitomizes the kind of resiliency that dreams are made of. Meet the future basketball star in Carlo Miguel.

Born Carlo Miguel R. Dava on March 18, 1997 to Mr. Brick Dava and Ms. Ana Dava in Mandaluyong City, the 6-foot-3 cager is now playing for the University of Santo Tomas. The boy-next-door freshman student in UST was a former Letran Squire player. He now plays as shooting guard and small forward. He also became a participant to the Coca-Cola PBA Young Stars.

I just enjoy what I am doing right now but I make sure to prioritize my studies”, quipped the towering Miguel.

He scored his game best 36 points in a league. Miguel’s favorite shot is jump shot and his favorite NBA player is 4-time NBA Regular season MVP Lebron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the PBA, he looks up to Asi Taulava and in the UAAP, he likes 2-time MVP Kiefer Ravena of the Ateneo Blue Eagles. His ambition in life is to have a good basketball career and finish his studies.
