WSOF Expanding Again, Now Affiliated with Aspera FC in Brazil

World Series of Fighting – Global Championship (WSOF-GC) has executed another promotion affiliation agreement, this time landing coveted Brazilian promotion, Aspera FC. This deal will not only bring live events from Aspera FC starting in 2017 to the WSOF Global Fight Library, but will also include nearly 50 previous events dating back over the last three years.

“Aspera FC has established itself as the number one promotion in Latin America,” proclaims Marcelo Brigadeiro, Chief Executive Officer of Aspera FC. “We had 48 events in three years and have the best Brazilian fighters competing for us, which allowed us to build a huge fan base. In 2016, we started our international expansion promoting events in Peru, Spain and Serbia. We still want more. In 2017, we expect to hold at least six events overseas plus twelve events in Brazil as a part of the plan to increase our international exposure. We decided that WSOF Global is the best partner to help us out with it through their great platform and affiliation system. When we talk about putting together the best promotion in Latin America and taking it worldwide, we are talking about something huge. I am very proud to become affiliated with WSOF Global and I am excited with what the future will bring us."

“Aspera continues to put on quality, world-class events on a regular basis,” states WSOF-GC Vice President of Operations, Jason Lilly. “They have achieved so much in such a short period of time. I don’t know of any organization that has put together as many events as they have in their first three years. The talent level of their fighters is top of the line as well, including recently-signed and undefeated strawweight stand out in the UFC, Viviane Pereira. We look forward to helping promote their events and talent around the world and are thrilled by this announcement.”

“When you speak of MMA, Brazil is one of the true proving grounds,” added WSOF-GC President, Shawn Wright. “We are excited to now be represented there by such a strong, respected organization. Aspera becomes our 18th affiliate and we now have such a substantial MMA network in fifteen countries on six continents around the globe. 2016 has been amazing year for the growth of our company and we look forward to what lies ahead in 2017.”

Aspera FC’s previous events will be making their way into the WSOF Global Fight Library at wsofgc.com, and future fights will be made available to fans to watch LIVE and follow the growth of these two organizations together. Watch all of their fights, as well as those from all other affiliates for less than $10 per month at WSOFGC.com!
