Barangay Ginebra overcomes huge deficit. Books do-or-die game with Alaska

Barangay Ginebra displayed their never day die angst once again. As they bounced back from a huge deficit against the Alaska Aces.

The crowd favorite trailed with as much as 17 points in the third quarter then finding themselves in the passenger seat after a 25-4 run in the same quarter.

Sol Mercado who scored a couple of three pointers sparked the engine up for the Barangay that ignited their mammoth crowd leading them to executing different key stops.

Ginebra led with as much as 9 points in the final period but Alaska fought their way back in a mission to swat that lead back but fell shortly after Mercado and Ferrer's connection that gave Ginebra a 4 point lead.

A couple of three point exchanges happened before this sequence. Mercado had a chance to extend the lead to 7 but failed to make both free throws. Tenorio also split his charities giving them 4 point advantage. Ginebra ending up winning the face-off that makes it another day of sunlight for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel as they play against Alaska on Tuesday at 7pm in the Araneta Coliseum for a win or go home battle for the semi finals berth.
