Lillard and McCollum Scored 75 but Portland Still Fell to Golden State

CJ McCollum with 41 points, Damian Lillard with 34, that's a combined 75 points on a 51% field goal percentage. There is just no other way that the other team could beat you if your two best players are scorching hot like this.

We were wrong.

Portland Trail Blazers up the ante and was able to keep up against the heavy favorite Golden State Warriors in an offensive showdown.

Both teams were scorching the net as they scored no less than 25 points in each of the quarter until the 4th in which Blazers only scored 21 against 33 of the Warriors.  The Blazers had a shortage of firepower against the Warriors.  They fought fire with fire and the Blazers got burnt.

Kevin Durant led the scoring for the Warriors with 32 points, followed by Stephen Curry with 29, Draymond Green with 19 and Klay Thompson with 15 points.

Warriors with 53% field goal percentage took game 1 in front of their home crowd.
