We all know about the great Bruce Lee, the greatest icon of martial arts. His movies showed us how great he is in martial arts like in Game of Death which showed the powerful and amazing speed of his nunchaku. It's one of a kind. But of course, every legend starts as a student, and every student needs a teacher, a mentor. Daniel Arca "Dan" Inosanto is not only best known as a training partner of Bruce Lee, he is also his nunchaku teacher and a friend.

Since 11 years old, Dan has undergone some karate, judo and jujutsu training guided by his uncle. Inosanto learned from different masters around the globe like Ed Parker, and Yorinaga Nakamura and attained black belt levels in many different martial arts. Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute, an establishment under the name of Lee, the place were Inosanto taught martial arts with Taky Kimura and James Yimm Lee, the other two instructors personally certified by Bruce Lee to teach his system of martial arts. When Lee died, Inosanto took the position of Jeet Kune Do's (eclectic and hybrid martial art heavily influenced by the philosophy of martial artist Bruce Lee) principal spokesperson and historian. He also played small roles in some films and former physical education teacher in Malaga Cove Intermediate School in California.

Dan Inosanto is known for promoting Filipino Martial Arts. The Inosanto Academy of Martial Arts in Beach Ave, Marina Del Rey, USA is the school he built for those who want to learn other martial arts like The Art and Philosophy of Jeet Kune Do, Shoot wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Eskrima, Muay Thai, Silat, mixed martial arts and other arts. His students like Diana Lee Inosanto (his daughter), Brandon Lee (son of Bruce Lee) Ron Balicki (son-in-law), Denzel Washington, Edgar Sulite etc. are known in their chosen field, and also in the world of martial arts.

He is indeed and truly one great teacher.
