Highlights: Mahindra Surpassed Phoenix in Tough OT Win

The Mahindra Floodbusters still have a chance in the PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals, thanks to a hard-earned 122-121 overtime win over the Phoenix Fuel Masters on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The outstanding play of LA Revilla who tallied 26 points, including shots that sent the game to extra period, to go along with 4 boards, 5 assists and 2 steals helped Mahindra big time to stunned Phoenix in overtime thriller.

He delivered points when Mahindra needed it the most, scoring the team’s last seven points in the fourth quarter to tie it at 116-all and extend the match.

Reden Celda also aimed for the win as he scored 25 excellent points, four boards and three steals in the match. It was him who gave the lead to Mahindra at 121-120 in the overtime after he courageously made a floater shot in the last few ticks in the clock against McKay.

Phoenix would have a chance to regain the lead but Matthew Wright couldn't convert a point as he missed a potential game-changing 3-point shot.

McKay scored 18 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for Phoenix (4-6) which is currently hanging on to the No.8 spot.

The win was a huge boost to the playoff hopes for 10th-place Mahindra (3-7) which they can still enter to the top eight by winning its remaining match against Ginebra.
